Biography

Ernest Morrell Rowe was born in Adelaide, South Australia, was married to Mrs Elizabeth Annie Rowe of 204 Brougham Street, Ballarat, Victoria when he joined the Tasmanian Reinforcement 3 as a Lieutenant on 1 July 1918 at the age of 39. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board SS Zealandic on 5 October 1918. He marched into Harve from England on 19 February 1919 with the 12th Battalion and in August 1919 he marched out to the Department of Reparation and Demobilization before embarking back to Australia aboard the Ajana as the Ship's Adjutant.
