Biography

Victor Grose Warburton (SN 3432) was born in Fitzroy, and enlisted in Melbourne on July 6th 1915. He was 24, single and a carpenter. He joined the 5th Infantry Battalion and embarked on October 11th on the Nestor. He reached France in March 1916 but on July 25th 1916 he was killed in action at Pozieres. He has no known grave and his name is recorded on the Australian Memorial at Villers-Bretonneux, France.
