Biography

Born in Ballarat, Charles Green was a single 30 year old dairyman at the time of his enlistment in Ararat on January 29th 1916. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A35 Berrima on the 4th of July 1916.
On August 9th 1918, he was wounded in action with a gunshot wound to his buttock and right thigh.
On August 21st he was invalided to the U.K.
Charles returned to Australia on February 11th 1919 and was discharged as medically unfit on the 21st of March 1919.
