Biography

Charles Mitchell enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 44 on the 26th of February 1916. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Carpenter. He volunteered and was stationed with the 39th Battalion, Headquarters later transferring to the 3rd Pioneer Battalion with the Regimental number 525. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 27th of July 1917. Tree number 1029.
