Biography

Born in Ballarat South, George Herbert Kerr was a single 22 year old cycle mechanic at the time of his enlistment on the 14th of July 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A73 Commonwealth on the 19th of September 1916.
On the 17th of April 1918 he was wounded in action, but remained at duty.
He returned to Australia on the 27th of June 1919 and was discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 4th of August 1919.
