Biography

Thomas George Sevior was born in Ballarat, Victoria, was married to Mrs. Elizabeth Sevior of 16 Shock Street, Ballarat East and was a Baker when he enlisted with the 31st Battalion, C Company on 12 July 1915 at the age of 43. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A62 Wandilla on 9 November 1915. He was wounded in action whilst in France with a gunshot wound to the left ankle on 23 July 1916 and was admitted to the 2nd War Hospital. Despite the wound being classified as 'slight' he was sent overseas to England and furloughed, receiving a medical discharge on 30 January 1918.
