Biography

Thomas Grange Rowlands was a harness maker who had been born in Ballarat and enlisted from Ballarat East on 13th July 1915. He was 21 years old, and single. He was sent to the 14th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 3479. Later he was transferred to 4th Machine Gun Battalion. He fell ill in France and was evacuated to UK, where he died of broncho-pneumonia on 8th February 1919. He is buried in Bristoi [Arnos Vale] Cemetery, UK.
