Joshua George Greening enlisted from Ballarat North on 1oth July 1915. He was 24 years old, unmarried, and a painter and decorator. He was born in Ballarat. He was posted to the 31st Infantry Battalion, with the Regimental No. 683. On 20th July 1916 he was killed in action near Fleurbaix, and buried in the Rue-Petillon Military Cemetery, Fleurbaix, France.
