Alexander Malcolm Nicholson enlisted in Trentham, New Zealand at the age of 26 on the 5th of April 1915. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Bank Teller. He volunteered and was stationed with the 2nd Battalion, New Zealand Army Corps later transferring with the Regimental number 24396. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 1st of February 1918. Tree number 1173.
