Biography

Arthur Zenas Farrar (SN 901) was born in Ballarat and attended the Eureka Street State School. When he enlisted on August 31st 1914 he was in Morphettville S.A. He was 19 years old, single and worked as a labourer. He joined the 10th Infantry Battalion, which was in the first wave at the Gallipoli landing. He was killed at Gallipoli on May 2nd 1915, has no known grave and his name is on the Australian Memorial at Lone Pine, Gallipoli. He was 20 years of age.
