Biography

Leslie Clarence Hall (SN 4) born at Ballarat, was a 23 year old pharmacist when he enlisted in Ballarat on August 19th 1914. Assigned to the 2nd Field Ambulance, he embarked aboard the Wiltshire on October 20th and served through the Gallipoli campaign. He moved on to France in late May 1916 and aside from a period of illness in 1918 he came through the war without significant harm. He was granted ‘1914 leave’ and returned to Australia aboard the Durham, disembarked on December 23rd 1918 and was discharged on February 21st 1919. He also served during World War 2 with service number V361712.
