Cecil Wanliss was the Brother of David Wanliss. Cecil was born In 19th of October in 1866 in Ballarat and graduated from the Royal Military College in Sandhurst, England. He became a Lieutenant and was in charge of the South Lancashire Regiment and commanded in the Battle of Mons. He was promoted to Lieutenant-Colonel in the World War 1 battles.
