Edward Richard Marsh was a single 19 year old fitter at the time of his enlistment on the 18th of December 1917. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board RMS Ormonde on the 7th of March 1918.
On the 22nd of December 1917, Edward was ranked as a Second Air Mechanic.
On the 6th of March 1918, he was appointed Acting Lance Corporal, but reverted back to his rank on the 15th of May 1918.
Edward returned to Australia on the 7th of June 1919 and was discharged on the 9th of September 1919.
