William Wade was a compositor from Ballarat when he enlisted on 21st August 1915. He was born in Ballarat East and was 20 years of age and single. He was doing his initial training with the 14th Depot Training Battalion, Ballarat, when he became ill and was hospitalised. He died of pleurisy and pneumonia on 11th November 1915, and is buried the Ballarat [New] Cemetery, Australia.
