Biography

Clement Alan Hoskin was born at Ballarat. He became a "Compositor" and at age 20 being single enlisted from Ballarat on 19 August 1914. He spent a day or two in hospital with influenza and rejoined unit 21/9/15. He was appointed Lance Corporal in France 9/5/17. He spent more time in hospital 28/11/17 and rejoined unit 8/12/17. He was again promoted, this time to Lance Sergeant 27/5/18 and back to Lance Corporal 8/6/18. He was awarded "Military Medal" on 5/2/19, 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He returned to Australia 23 October 1918. Tree No. 140.
