Leslie Montague enlisted in Beaufort, Victoria at the age of 18 on the 16th of July 1915. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Farmer. He volunteered and was stationed with the 22nd Battalion, 7th Reinforcements with the Regimental number 321. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 27th of July 1917. Tree number 1410.
