Garnet Rupert Day enlisted in an unknown port on the 19th of September 1914. He had been born in Seymour, Victoria. He volunteered and was posted to numerous different ships as a Able Seaman including HMAS Sydney with the Regimental number 4049. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 5th of January 1928. Tree number 1441.
