Reuben Joseph Edwin Mitchell enlisted in an unknown port on the 1st of January 1913. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria. He volunteered and was posted to numerous different ships as a Able Seaman including AE2 Submarine with the Regimental number 7476. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 12th of May 1919.
