Howard Edward Bennetts Grenfell enlisted in an unknown port on the 30th of March 1914. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria. He volunteered and was posted to numerous different ships as a Able Seaman including HMAS Tingira with the Regimental number 3735. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 1st of May 1915. Tree number 1448.
