Biography

Arthur Edmund Oxbrow was born in Ballarat and was a Boot Salesman by trade when he enlisted in the Infantry Brigade Train 8 on 5 July 1915 at the age of 31. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A41 Bakara on 5 November 1915. In June 1916 he reached France to serve with the 5th Division Train Supply Section and served through the war without major incident. He returned to Australia on the Kildonan Castle and disembarked at Melbourne on May 7th 1919.
