Biography

Thomas Blight Glover (SN 8067) born at Ballarat, was a 38 year old cyanider when he enlisted in Melbourne on September 24th 1915 . He embarked aboard the Ascanius on November 5th, first to Egypt and then in June 1916 to France. He served with the Australian Army Service Corps. In January 1918 he suffered an accidental back strain , and while undergoing treatment for that, an old knee injury was identified. He was returned to Australia aboard the Carpentaria, disembarked at Melbourne on October 4th 1918 and was discharged on October 19th ‘medically unfit, old knee injury’.
