Biography

John Comber Robertson was born at Ensay, Victoria. At his working age he became a Railway Porter. Upon enlistment at Broadmeadows, Victoria, on 19 August 1914, he was a single 19 year old. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board Transport A18 Wiltshire on 19 October 1914. He was admitted to hospital for Diarrhoea 6/8/15 and disembarked from Alexandria. He rejoined his regiment at Anzac 6/11/15. He received a promotion of Lance Corporal 2/9/16. Returned to Australia 15 January 1919.
