Theophilus Clyde Jones (younger brother of Thomas Taliesin Jones, Tree No. 455) was born in Ballarat and was a Saddler by trade when he enlisted in the 18th Australian Army Service Corps on 13 August 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A41 Bakara on 5 November 1915. He returned safely to Australia in 1919.
