Biography

Ernest Alfred Gordon Williams was a single 23 year old motor mechanic who was born and enlisted in Ballarat. Ernest enlisted on the 8th of July 1915 and his unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A34 Persic on the 3rd of June 1916.
On March 22nd 1919 he was appointed Artificer Sergeant. He returned to Australia on October 9th 1919 and was discharged on December 30th 1919 due to the termination of his enlistment period.
