George Bertram Merrifield was a single 22 year old labourer at the time of his enlistment on the 31st of December 1914. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A54 Runic on the 19th of February 1915.
George returned to Australia on the 22nd of July 1917.
