Born in Sebastopol, Victoria, Henry Kerr was a single 28 year old labourer at the time of his enlistment on the 23rd of February 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A14 Euripides on the 10th of May 1915.
On the 28th of July 1916, Henry was wounded in action with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. He was invalided to England, and returned to Australia on the 2nd of December 1916. He was discharged due to his wounds on the 1st of May 1917.
