Charles Edward Hardman was born in Wynyard, Tasmania, and enlisted from Port Melbourne on the 15th April 1915. He was 28 years old, married and a labourer. He joined the 22nd Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 1205. He served on Gallipoli but was killed at Pozieres on 5th August 1916. His name is on Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France. Tree No. 1594
