John Bowhay Ware enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 23 on the 14th of June 1915. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Chemist's Assistant. He volunteered and was stationed with the 1st Divisional Signal Company with the Regimental number 1474 . He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 23rd of July 1919. Tree number 1597.
