George Trice was born at Ballarat. He was a Carpenter by trade, and at age 35, a widower. He enlisted from Melbourne on the 20th August 1914. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board Transport A3 Orvieto on 21 October 1914. He received a promotion to 2nd Corporal 25/7/15, then to Lance Corporal at Gallipoli. He received a GSW to his left arm 15/8/15./ He disembarked from Malta 7/9/15. Was wounded and taken to hospital on or about the 6/10/15. He returned to Australia 27 July 1917. Tree No. 160.
