Biography

Born in Ballarat, John George McLeish Irving was a married 23 year old labourer at the time of his enlistment on the 16th of June 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A68 Anchises on the 26th of August 1915.
On the 20th of July 1917 he was promoted Corporal.
John returned to Australia on the 3rd of October 1918 and was discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 4th of December 1918.
