Frederick James Ferguson was 24 year old, unmarried book keeper from Rochester. He was born in Pyramid Hill. He enlisted on 24th July 1915, and joined the 29th Infantry Battalion, with the Regimental No. 1116. He was seriously wounded in the fighting around Flers on 24th October 1916. He died of wounds on 24th October 1916. He is buried in the Etaples Military Cemetery, France.
