Biography

Alexander George Grove enlisted in Ballarat on 8th July 1915, and was posted to the 10th Australian Field Ambulance with Regimental No. 12552 Later he was attached to the 10th Machine Gun Company as a medical assistant/ stretcher bearer. He was 20 years old, single, a draper's assistant living Ballarat. Whilst in hospital recovering from a wound he received in action, he accidentally fell on 8th May 1918, seriously damaging his spine, and subsequently died on the 14th May 1918. He is buried in St Sever Cemetery, Rauen, France.
