Biography

Lionel Joseph Lambert (Lt.) born in Ballarat, was a 33 year old mine manager when he enlisted in Ballarat on November 20th 1915.He embarked aboard the Warilda on May 25th 1916 and came ashore in France in September to serve with the 2nd Tunnelling Company. It seems he completed his service without significant illness or injury and returned to Australia aboard the Anchises, disembarked on October 8th 1919 and was discharged on November 30th.
