Phillip John Kelly enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 24 on the 10th of August 1915. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Tinsmith. He volunteered and was stationed with the 29th Battalion, 1st Reinforcement later transferring to the Australian Employment Company with the Regimental number 1454. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 16th of January 1919. Tree number 1678.
