Virgil Creati enlisted in Melbourne, Victoria at the age of 28 on the 19th of July 1915. He had been born in Springmount, Victoria, was Married, and was employed as a Sawyer. He volunteered and was stationed with the 8th Battalion, 15th Reinforcement with the Regimental number 4761. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 7th of August 1919.
Lucas’s Staffs Appreciation of Brave Men, the original Avenue register, records his name as Virgil Create.
