Biography

Andrew Eric Muir was born in Ballarat and on 8th July 1915 he enlisted from Ballarat West. He was 21 years old, single and a coach trimmer. He was posted to the 8th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 4549. Later he was transferred to 58th Infantry Battalion. On 18th July 1916 he died of wounds received during the fighting at Fleurbaix, and is buried in Rue-Du-Bois Military Cemetery, France.
