Edward Christian Doepel enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 20 on the 6th of July 1915. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Clerk. He volunteered and was stationed with the 2nd Field Ambulance with the Regimental number 10206. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 16th of May 1919. Tree number 1723.
