Biography

Joseph Percy Wilson was a single 20 year old draper from Bunninyong. He enlisted on the 9th of July 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A18 Wiltshire on the 7th of March 1916. On the 1st of June 1917 he was promoted to Corporal. He was appointed Lance Sergeant on the 18th of August 1917 for a brief time, and then reverted back to a Corporal on the 29th of December 1917. Joseph returned to Australia on the 23rd of October 1919 and discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 16th of January 1920.
