Jack Berryman Wrigley was born in Ballarat West and enlisted there as a blacksmith on 20th July 1915. He was 18 and single. He was allocated to the 24th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 3689. Later he was transferred to the 6th Machine Gun Company. On 9th October 1917 he was killed in action at Poelcappelle He is buried in Passchendaele New British Cemetery, Belgium
