Biography

Clifford Edward Reynolds was born at Ballarat and became a Farm Labourer. He was single, at age 29 enlisted locally at Ballarat on the 22 August 1914. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board Transport A24 Benalla on 19 October 1914. At different times like many others, he suffered bouts of Influenza 26/5/15 and rejoined battalion in France on 29/7/16. He became acting Company Quartermaster Master Sergeant (CQMS) 29/10/15. He joined up with British Expeditionary Force in Alexandria 26/5/16 and disembarked at Marseilles 31/6/16. He was wounded in action and admitted for a Gun Shot Wound in France to the right foot 9/8/18. He returned to Australia 9 December 1918.
