Arthur Magill (SN 6800) born at Winton Victoria, was a 21 year old clerk when he enlisted at Melbourne on July 26th 1915. He embarked aboard the Wiltshire on November 18th and in March 1916 he arrived in France to serve with the 4th Field Artillery Brigade. His service was dominated by health issues until he was returned to Australia aboard the Kenilworth Castle. He was discharged on September 14th 1918 ‘medically unfit’.
