Biography

Harold Brudenell (SN 2573) born in Ballarat, was a 19 year old grocer when he enlisted in Ballarat on July 27th 1915. He embarked aboard the Ulysses on October 27th and sailed to Egypt where he was assigned to the 58th Infantry Battalion. A problem with his feet limited his capacity to train with his unit so he was returned to Australia aboard the Karoola. He disembarked at Melbourne on August 2nd 1916 and was discharged on September 5th ‘medically unfit, drop foot’.
