Biography

Born in Geelong, Victoria and a Clerk by trade, Rudolph Ruy Bieske was 18 years and single when enlisted on the 4th of August 1915 in the Divisional Signal Company 2, Headquarters, Section 1, Australian Imperial Force, with the rank of Sapper, Number 3625. His Unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A40 'Ceramic' on the 23rd of November 1915. On the 7th of June 1917 was admitted to Hospital sick, France and on the 11th of March 1918 Sapper appointed Lance Corporal, France and was listed as returned to Australia on the 13th of April 1919 per 'Wyreema'. Discharged on the 25th of July 1919 from the 3rd Military District with the Termination of Period of Enlistment. Tree No.1863
