Biography

Clarence Vivian Bunting was born in Ballarat and was a Coach Builder by trade when he enlisted in the 23rd Battalion, 10th Reinforcement on 12 August 1915 at the age of 19. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A18 Wiltshire on 7 March 1916 in early August he joined the 23rd Battalion in France. After the war he returned to Australia on the Port Melbourne, disembarking at Melbourne on August 20th 1919.
