Cyril Linton Medley was born at Mystic Park and enlisted from Ballarat West on 15th August 1915. He was 20 years old, unmarried and a labourer. He joined the 21st Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 4580. Later he was transferred to the 14th Infantry Battalion. On 19th May 1918 he was killed in action at Ville-sur-Ancre, and is buried in Dive Copse British Cemetery, Belgium.
