Biography

Otto William Davies was 19 years of age, single, a butcher from Ballarat West when he enlisted on 22nd July 1915. He was born in Ballarat. He was posted to 22nd Company Australian Army Service Corps with the Regimental No. 10832. He was driving a supply cart to an artillery battery when the area came under enemy artillery fire. Driver Davies' horses bolted in panic and he was thrown from the cart and fell under the wheels. He is buried at Pont-D'Achelles Cemetery, France.
