James Patrick Flynn was born in Stawell, Victoria was married and was employed as a Station Hand. He enlisted in Maribyrnong, Victoria at the age of 41. He volunteered and was stationed with the 1st Australian Remount Unit, 2nd Squadron later transferring to the Australian Army Veterinary Corps with the Regimental number 496. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 18th of February 1919. Tree number 1948.
