Biography

Samuel Knight was born in Creswick, and enlisted there on15th November 1915. He was 21 years old, unmarried and a blacksmith. He was in the 6th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 4814. He was killed at Fromelles on the 19th July 1916. His name appears on the VC Corner Australian Memorial, Fromelles, France.
