Thomas Hughes enlisted on 22nd December 1915, and was posted to the 39th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 1847. He was 38 years old, married and a miner from Sebastapol . He had been born in Yarraville. He was killed near Armentieres, and is buried in the Cite Bonjean Military Cemetery, France.
