Thomas George Bennetts enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 22 on the 10th of January 1916. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Labourer. He volunteered and was stationed with the 8th Battalion, 16th Reinforcement later transferring to the 5th Machine Gun Battalion with the Regimental number 5036. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 2nd of July 1919. Tree number 1988.
